Terms

Last updated July 15, 2026

1. Using FoundTheMove

By using foundthemove.com you agree to these terms. FoundTheMove is a reader for publicly posted event information, backed by the curators who shape the scene. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

2. Acceptable use

  • Don't submit spam, harassment, hate content, or fraudulent event listings.
  • Don't impersonate a curator, venue, or promoter you don't run.
  • Don't attempt to break, probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Don't misuse the claim flow to gain access to a page you don't operate.

3. No scraping

You may not scrape, crawl, spider, or bulk-download FoundTheMove pages, APIs, images, or event data, whether by automated tool, headless browser, LLM agent, or otherwise, without our written permission. Cached copies for personal viewing are fine; systematic extraction is not. Rate-limiting, IP blocks, and legal action are all on the table for violations.

4. Event information is not a guarantee

Event names, dates, venues, ticket links, and prices are aggregated from public sources and can be wrong, outdated, cancelled, moved, or sold out. Always confirm with the organizer or venue before you travel or spend money. FoundTheMove is not responsible for what happens at any event or for any purchase you make through a linked third-party site.

5. Curator attribution

"Backed by [Curator]" reflects that the curator publicly posted the event on their own channel. It doesn't mean the curator endorses FoundTheMove, and it doesn't create an agency, employment, or partnership relationship. Curators can claim their page and request changes or removal at any time.

6. Your content

When you submit a link, screenshot, nomination, or claim details, you grant FoundTheMove a non-exclusive license to use that material to operate the service — display it in the feed, share it with the co-signing curator, and keep records for moderation. You keep ownership of what you submit. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share.

7. Copyright, takedowns, and repeat infringers

If you believe material on FoundTheMove infringes your copyright or otherwise violates your rights, send a takedown notice to takedown@foundthemove.com including:

  • the URL of the material,
  • a description of the work and how it's infringed,
  • your contact info (name, email, and a physical or mailing address),
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized and that the information in your notice is accurate,
  • your signature (typed is fine).

Repeat-infringer policy. Accounts, sources, or curator pages that repeatedly submit or are the subject of infringing material will be removed. We may also remove any content that violates these terms, with or without notice.

8. Accounts

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password safe. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

FoundTheMove is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't warrant that event data is accurate, complete, or up to date, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that it will meet your needs.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FoundTheMove and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to USD $100.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
