The Ground Zero Experience

Breaking, DJing, emceeing and other forms of artistic expression trace the development and cultural influence of Miami hip-hop. The performance takes place Saturday, April 17 at the Adrienne Arsht Center as part of the Arsht for Miami series.

Ground Zero Crew is joined by other local artists for a multidisciplinary program highlighting the people and creative practices that shaped the city’s hip-hop community.

Founded in 1996, Ground Zero Crew helped establish Miami’s breaking scene and later gained international recognition as a world-champion crew.

The Ground Zero Experience draws on that history while presenting hip-hop as a broader culture encompassing dance, music, storytelling and visual art.
